THE FIRST DOMESTIC AND NATIONAL MILITARY ENGINE TTZA WAS HELD AT THE SHIPMENT CEREMONY

The shipment ceremony of TTZA, the first produced domestic and national engine designed and produced by BMC POWER with the efforts of Turkish engineers to enter the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces, was held on Thursday, February 2 in Sakarya.

Defence Industry Vice President Dr. Celal Sami Tüfekçi, Head of Military Land Vehicles Department Ahmet Raci Yalçın, Head of Engine and Power Transmission Systems Mesude Kılınç and BMC POWER and BMC executives members attended the ceremony.

The new name of the TTZA engine was redenominated to TUNA during the ceremony.

The TUNA engine, produced as a 400 HP, 8.4 liters, 4-cylinder in-line engine, will be used in BMC's VURAN Multi-Purpose Armored Vehicle. A total of 90 engines will be delivered. In this context, the shipment of the first 20 TUNA engines, in which production was realized, is scheduled to be completed on February 6th.
